Training Your Animal Friends

At Paws Up! Complete Dog Training, we recognize that every dog is a unique individual.  Therefore, training programs are designed with a holistic approach, keeping in mind each dog’s physical, emotional, and mental well being as well as their natural instinct in order to effect behavior.  We believe that creating a relationship rooted in clear communication between a dog and owner that fosters respect and trust though a motivational combination of play and obedience is paramount.  Scientific based positive reinforcement methods are always used to teach exactly what actions we expect from the dogs we work with. We then help dogs to generalize behaviors and work with duration, distraction, and distance to proof commands and create reliability, especially in different environments.  Then, as needed, responsibility is taught through adding minor consequences for incorrect choices.  To be sure every dog is able to build his or her confidence and also has a tail wagging good time, each dog and person will receive the patience and understanding they deserve. We do not cram obedience or muscle the dogs around, and owners will never be rushed through an appointment or left with unanswered questions.
